How to prepare the PTU payroll?
The first thing to consider when preparing your company’s PTU payroll is that it must be done on a different payroll than the usual salary. This is because it must make apart from the ordinary payroll since it is a periodic payment.
The PTU or Workers’ Participation in Profit Sharing is a unique payment you must make to your workers. Because it is special? Because you’re giving them a share of the company’s profits.
It is a stimulus or incentive for employees to try to grow the company’s performance. Naturally, therefore, they participate in the benefits of this. But on the other hand, it is how a company shows its social side and desire to comply with the law.
If it has billed more than MXN 300,000 in a year, it is considered to have had good revenue. The law provides that the company can distribute said income among its workers. For this reason, it is a differentiated payment with its requirements.
